Our new initiatives : The college is starting new programmes from the new academic term 2025-26. These are
- BS (Business Administration – BBA)
- MS/BS Liberal Arts
- BA and MA in Journalism and Mass Communication
All these programmes will be on self-financed basis.
The college has been awarded by the UGC the highest prestigious grants for College with Potential for Excellence (CPE).
The college has successfully completed three cycles of NAAC accreditation. Today the college has MOUs with National and International organisations and Universities. It is constantly rated as one of the top institutions in the country by leading Magazines of India like India Today and The Week.
The college has a squad of national and international players. Today the students are representing national, State and University in sports and games like Rifle Shooting, Tennis, Soft Ball, Cycling and cricket. Elanevil V., a student of college, has represented India twice in Olympics (2020-21 Tokyo and 2023-24 Paris) for 10 meters Rifle shooting. She is also rated as the Player of the year by Govt. of India. She is the recipient of the most prestigious award in sports- the Arjun Award in 2022.
The college hosts a number of foreign students in Undergraduate, Post graduate and Research Programs from all over the world. The college is actively associated with the most prestigious department of Institute of International Studies, Institute of Indic Studies, Centre for Diaspora and Migration and Centre for International Relations at Gujarat University.
The college is the recipient of SSIP grants from Government of Gujarat for Innovation and Start-up initiatives. It was awarded Start-up College of the year award in 2019. Today its students have their registered companies and trademark for their ventures.
For two consecutive years, students of the college have been selected for very prestigious Indo-Japan students Cultural exchange program of Gujarat University.
The college has in-house publishing, in-house E-Content recording facilities, two auditoriums, 100 % virtual and digitalised academic, administrative and financial management systems.
The college has given two Vice \ Chancellors- Late Prof. K S Shastri who was the Vice Chancellor of VNSGU and Gujarat University and Dr. Neerja Gupta who was the Vice Chancellor of Sanchi University of Buddhist Indic Studies from February 2021 to June 2023 and is, at present the Vice Chancellor of the Gujarat University since July 2023.
The college has extremely competent faculty, engaged in research and academic development. A number of faculty members are members of Board of Studies in State and National Universities and of the Board of Management and Executive Council of Gujarat University.
we organize National and International academic events, faculty development programs, and a number of orientation and workshop sessions for researchers, faculty and students on regular basis.
We have a very active placement services cell. This cell organises Finishing School, sessions (a government initiative for developing employability skills), workshops, seminars and orientation programmes for students, placement fairs and mentoring camps for students and entrepreneurs from the college.
The College publishes ISSN International Journal Bharatiya Manyaprad. It is the first wi-fi campus in grant-in-Aid colleges in Gujarat to be equipped with Interactive Smart Classrooms, E-Lecture facilities, In-house Lecture recording studio, SMS informative software system, a dynamic website, Virtual functions of all administrative activities etc.
The college is enabled with green energy, solar energy, waste water management, herbal garden, weeding to grid facility and a number of eco-friendly infrastructures. The college was invited by the Canadian Government for University visits. It has 4th generation devices facilitated 400 seat auditorium and 150 seat seminar hall.
